Hey, Tooth Fairies, chew on this

The Tooth Fairy is notoriously cheap, compared to Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. According to a recent issue of Parents magazine, the most common sum left under children's pillows these days is a dollar.
However, the magazine's survey found that some "fairies" left more or less depending on the circumstances. If it was the first lost tooth, some left a $5 bill, then $1 for each progressive tooth.
If the tooth had a cavity or a filling, less than $1 was left.
Coincidentally, the survey found the fairy was cheapest in Connecticut, where some children awoke to a measly 25 cents.
